Company Founders

Jason Clark – President & Owner

With more than 30 years in trenchless utility construction, Jason Clark has led Iowa Trenchless from its beginnings into one of the Midwest’s most respected trenchless contractors. His deep understanding of microtunneling, tunneling, auger boring, and large-diameter installations has earned him a reputation for delivering results where precision and performance matter most.
Jason’s leadership philosophy is simple: “Build the best team, equip them with the best tools, and never back down from a challenge.”

Shari Clark – Vice President & Owner

As co-owner and Vice President, Shari Clark oversees company administration, compliance, and financial operations, ensuring Iowa Trenchless maintains the stability and structure needed to execute complex projects. Shari’s attention to detail and commitment to integrity have been key to the company’s long-term success.
Her leadership keeps Iowa Trenchless running efficiently and safely — and ensures every client interaction reflects the company’s values of reliability, transparency, and professionalism across the company.

Jason (Jay) Klein – Vice President

Jason Klein brings more than 15 years of experience in trenchless industry field operations and project management to his role as Vice President, where he coordinates large-scale trenchless projects across multiple states, aligning schedules, crews, and resources to meet Iowa Trenchless’s high standards for safety, quality, and execution.  Jason’s leadership on the ground ensures projects move forward smoothly — no matter the conditions.

Brandon Derry – Superintendent

With over 20 years of experience managing trenchless construction crews, Brandon Derry is a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge of all Trenchless methods.  Brandon provides the professional expertise to keep Iowa Trenchless projects on schedule and on specification, while guiding our crews to deliver auger boring, pipe jacking, pipe ramming, guided boring, and tunneling projects efficiently and safely under demanding conditions.

Rick Siemers – Superintendent

A seasoned field leader with decades of utility construction experience, Rick Siemers is known for his exceptional problem-solving skills on complex trenchless jobs. He ensures each site operates safely and productively, helping Iowa Trenchless maintain its reputation for successfully tackling the toughest crossings.  Rick leads Iowa Trenchless crews with an emphasis on safety, productivity, and quality. He coordinates subsurface investigations, pit and shoring design, and equipment selection to minimize surface impacts. Rick’s hands-on approach and familiarity with auger boring and pipe jacking help teams deliver precise line-and-grade installations.

Wes James – Project Manager

Wes James focuses on the business side of project delivery, setting priorities, creating alignment of resources, and keeping the company’s work program moving.  Wes supports field operations as a resource for safety, equipment, and accounting. The result is a steadier operation: consistent processes, better risk control, and trenchless projects that run to plan because the company behind them is organized to win.

Mike Braun – Accounting Manager

Mike Braun oversees the financial operations that keep Iowa Trenchless running smoothly—from day-to-day accounting to project-level job costing. He supports Iowa Trenchless owners with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning; produces clear job cost reports for project managers; and ensures accurate, timely client billing and pay applications. Mike’s disciplined approach helps our field and project teams make data-driven decisions that maintain schedule, cost control, and quality.
