Iowa Trenchless has completed numerous trenchless pipe installations in various soil conditions for our company. They have successfully performed auger boring, rock boring and pipe ramming operations. These have included a 60″ rock bore under Devil’s River in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and a 54″ pipe ram under the East River in DePere, Wisconsin. The East River bore was scheduled to be an auger bore, however, upon excavation of the bore pit, the soils proved to be a wet sandy silt with cobbles. Iowa Trenchless evaluated the conditions and, using their expertise, recommended a revision to pipe ramming. This change was made and the crossing was successfully completed.

The Iowa Trenchless team worked hard from the very beginning to make this project a success. To say the project was a challenge would be an understatement. Boulders the size of a pickup truck, along with utility, railroad and other constraints created challenges that would stump even the most seasoned contractors.
