Following the 2023 merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern into the new CPKC Railway, a major North American rail network expansion is underway. As part of this initiative, Iowa Trenchless completed culvert and drainage improvements for four siding extension projects across Iowa and Missouri.
Across these locations, Iowa Trenchless installed 22 bores totaling nearly 1,800 feet of 36–60 inch steel culvert pipe. Work locations included:
- Washington, IA – 10 bores totaling 840 LF (36″, 42″, 48″, and multiple 60″ installations)
- Laredo, MO – 4 bores totaling 320 LF (60″ and 72″)
- Bellevue, IA – 6 bores totaling 485 LF (36″, 48″, plus 66″ slipline)
- Clinton, IA – 2 bores totaling 140 LF (36″)
These installations were essential for expanding rail capacity, improving drainage, and enhancing rail safety along the north–south CPKC main line. With over half of the Iowa Trenchless team contributing at some point, the project demonstrated the company’s ability to mobilize multiple crews and equipment sets across a wide geographic region while maintaining consistent quality and precision.
